How far would you go to help the person you cared about most? Would it matter if that person literally didn’t know you existed? Sierra is an Angel and she’s the talk of the immortal world. After years of watching him from afar she gives up heaven and strikes a deal to earn twelve weeks of humanity so she can help Steve. Steven O’Rourke is an incarcerated inmate, war veteran and a drug addict. She is simply unwilling to watch him self-destruct any longer and is prepared to risk everything for the chance to help him.
What she originally believes will be a relatively easy task is far more complex and complicated than she ever could have predicted. She’ll need all of her talents and abilities as an immortal to save Steve and even then she fears it won’t be enough. In the end it’s not her immortal abilities that help her get through to Steve, but her womanly charms.
Offering herself to him is not only an attempt to complete her objective, it’s also a chance to fulfill a fantasy of hers. She can only hope that once his body is satisfied he’ll be more agreeable, but even if he isn’t, she’ll have the memories to hold on to and she won’t have to wonder what his lips taste like anymore.
Will she be able to save someone so hell-bent on ruin or are there some things that even a committed and dedicated Angel can’t accomplish? Eternity is a very long time to wish things could be different.
